A solo Trip To Cloud Valley "Sajek Valley"
In this post I have shared my second Sajek travel experience which can help others in travel planning. We wanted to relax and enjoy the trip, the cost was not the highest priority. The pre-trip arrangement starts with hotel booking. Talking to Niribili Hotel by phone is confirmed by developing money. Then the bus and finally the moon car.
Dhaka-Khagrachhari-Dhaka: St. Martin Transport: AC rented a bus for 900 rupees (10% will be deducted if canceled). It takes a little more to do online but E and F line seats are only available online. I had trouble getting a seat even 3 weeks ago. The AC was extra (I thought awful) cold.
Khagrachhari-Sajek: There were 6 of us. I have already confirmed the car since I had family with me. The car gave the contact number from Niribili Hotel. Mahindra Bolero car. 6000 rupees. Sajek was picked up from the bus drop in the morning from Khagrachhari and got on the bus from one night to the next. Full time was for us and he took us wherever we wanted to go without any complaint. Everyone in the group was very satisfied with the service, so the poor man was very happy to give 500 rupees tips to the driver. 7-8 people can go very comfortably in Mahindra Bolero car, especially if there are kids, if there are more than 6 people with their bags and food items, it will be difficult to move and manage everything.
Beautiful location in secluded hotel. The room has attached bathroom and running water. This time I went and saw that the fan was running with the generator, although it was not always released. Managers are polite good people. At 3 in the afternoon, Sikam Taisa arranged a guide for him to go to the waterfall. I returned from the fountain and paid 350 rupees, although the guide boy wanted 400 rupees. The road to the waterfall is easy. Robi's network is available some distance from the trail, then there is no network. It would be safe and wise to take the guide for the first time. Very steep trail (see my other post on TOB which has GPS elevation profile) ... It took us less than 2 hours but if there was daylight we could come back with a little more time. This trail is not a kid-friendly or lulupulu public place at all - my personal opinion. Anyone who is fairly fit can go. Inadvertently ate the trunk of a cut tree.
There is no dining facility in the secluded hotel but they arrange it in the restaurant there. You have to call 1.5-2 hours before all meals. The food at the restaurant they suggested was good. The taste of Sajek's restaurants has improved a lot over the last year - the menu is as basic as ever.
The night sky is very clear from Sajak. There are no settlements in the vicinity so there is no backlignt so many stars can be seen. Watching the moonrise in the evening while lying in the open field and watching the night sky was a different experience. Runmoy canteen will do bar-b-que before.
The next day at 5 o'clock I went to Kanlak Para to see the sunrise. You can drive to Kanlak Para if the road is right - then take a short walk. There is a viewpoint in Kanlak Para. Let's go there and see who gave me a tong shop ... not a year ago. If this continues, Sajek will lose its natural beauty in a few days. Sajak is still very, very beautiful. This viewpoint will be empty if you go very early in the morning, otherwise people will giggle after a while.
